In order to come up with our initial ideas for the making of our opening sequence to our chosen genre of psychological horror we needed to know what the audience thought. To do this we created a survey consisting of 7 questions.
We had mostly ages 13-18. This is very helpful due to the fact that this is our main target audience. this also meant we would get a good representation of our targeted audience.
The answers made it clear that they were able to guess the endings on horror films and also the expected characters. From this, in our opening sequence, we will commonly used characters but also go against the typically conventions of the ending of the film which will come across in the opening sequence.
