S.W.O.T

My strengths: I have a lot of experience and knowledge when it comes down to media due to the previous work I have done throughout my GCSE media course.

·         This has given me a wide range of knowledge with many things for example: camera shots, angles, mise en scene, audience and more

My weaknesses: I don’t have too much experience with editing and filming.

Opportunities: By doing this media course it will open many doors for me in the future and allow me to work using the media skills I will pick up.

Targets: my targets for this course is to produce the best work I can and push myself by going out of my way to complete tasks.

My past media experience

From my previous work within Media, as you can see from the products I have produced above, I have created a very good base when it comes to skills. When actually producing these platforms I used serif draw which allowed me to create knowledge within colour schemes, camera shots, photo potitioning, fonts and many more useful abilities.
By producing these music promotion platforms I have made it evident that I understand the work within the music industry and how to create synergy within media.

Previous Experience

As having previous experience within Media Studies, due to the fact that I studied this during the two year course for GCSE. By doing this I created a massive amount of knowledge which will hugely impact me during this A level course.

o   I feel I am strong and very confident with the selection of shot types

o   I understand a wide selection of media terminology, conventions and analyse media texts

o   I am aware of the key concepts of media

Despite this I have just begun to create my basic knowledge within using final cut pro, I am finding it easy to pick up the basic parts of the editing as I’m finding it very similar to editing apps I has prior use with for example iMovie.
